Yoga means union. It is a reuniting of your human self with your spirit. Through the practice of yoga you align your body and mind with your breath.
The physical postures help you release tension and discomfort from your body. They also restore balance between your flexibility and strength while creating mobility and stability in your joints and spine. The breath links the body and mind through movement and presence.
Meditation is the practice of stilling the mind by turning the senses inward so you can observe what is happening without reacting. As you unite your body and mind, you return to a place of peace and wellbeing.

Ayurveda means wisdom of life. It is the sister science to yoga and connects you to your unique body/mind constitution. Your constitution is based on the five elements found in nature. The more in tune you are with nature, the healthier you will be.
The main concept in Ayurveda is this: “food is medicine.” Whatever you do not digest properly will digest you by creating illness or disease. The ideal foods for your body/mind type support your mental and physical health, ideally preventing imbalance.
Jackie has been coaching clients in Ayurveda and wellness since 2008 and continues to guide them toward their natural healing abilities. Living an Ayurvedic lifestyle is conducive to slowing down the aging process and awakening your natural vitality and immunity.

nervous system. The more relaxed you are, the better you feel.
It's difficult to describe the way I feel now after 4 years of practicing yoga and meditation, but if I have to put words to it I feel like I did back when I was a young child again.
